Your Military Spending

I have seen this chain of thoughts many times:

• Why aren't we solving the problems which our species is facing?
• "Not enough money" they say.
• Where does all the money go then?
• Military spending.
• Isn't it insane how many resources we put into fighting ourselves?

Conclusion: We'd be much better of working together. If only the world leaders would get along...

But what about your Military Spending?

Everyone invests in protection against their environment, be it behavioral, emotional or physical.

And of course, if one party builds up weapons, everyone has to keep up.

Maybe we can learn from the Buddhist teachings of universal love, because by damaging others we are only damaging ourselves.
